The Johnville Bog & Forest Park is a protected area and a research station, coproperty of Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke<\/strong>, Universit\u00e9 de Bishop<\/strong> and Nature Cantons-de-l’Est<\/strong>. In addition to it’s vocation toward education and scientific research, the Park is accessible to the public for outdoors activities.<\/p>\n

Marvel at the peat bog and its ponds, the jewels of the Park<\/strong>. These ecosystems are rare in the Eastern Townships and provide the site with a remarkable diversity of habitats and rich flora and fauna that you can observe along the 5.8 kilometers of hiking trails<\/strong> that weave through the Park.<\/p>\n

Whether you are looking to learn more about the ecology of the peat bogs and the last ice age, or simply to enjoy a pleasant moment of relaxation, the Park offers a circuit of four hiking trails (L’\u00c9tang, La Tourbi\u00e8re, L’Esker and La Faune) and four ski and snowshoe trails during the winter<\/strong> (8.5 km).<\/p>\n

The Park is open from 8:00 a.m. to sunset, and admission is free for regular visitor. <\/strong>For special and group activities, including offered interpretation activites, please contact Nature Cantons-de-l’Est<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Located in the Town of Cookshire-Eaton (Johnville sector), the Johnville Bog & Forest Park<\/strong> invites you for a walk in a most scenic setting, only 15 km from downtown Sherbrooke (10 km from the Borough of Lennoxville).<\/p>

The Johnville Bog & Forest Park is accessible year-round from 8:00 a.m. until sunset.<\/p>

You can get there by taking North Road in the municipality of Cookshire-Eaton<\/strong> (Johnville sector).<\/p>

From Sherbrooke<\/strong>, take route 108 east. Turn right on route 251 south to Johnville. At the entrance of the village, turn left on North Road. The entrance to the Park is located approximately 1 km down the road.<\/p>

If you are coming from Cookshire<\/strong> on route 108 west, keep an eye out for the town of Sand Hill. Turn left on North Road to the park entrance, about 2.5 km away.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
